Some filaments need to be kept dry for them to print well, like nylon filaments and PETG. I also want to have a clean place to store my filament other than my 5-gallon bucket from Lowe's. To make my filament dry box I followed Thomas Sanladerer's guide, which can be found on Youtube. My filament dry box has a few differences from Tom's, however. For one, I used a storage box that comes moisture-sealed, rather than applying my own seal. I also used a plain wooden dowel instead of a spare smooth rod. I didn't have any spare smooth rod, and cutting smooth rod to length for something as simple as this seems like a waste when a wooden dowel works just fine.
