I'm really happy to have a functioning printer again, and so far my printing adventures have been very interesting. My build space is severely cut, but it is still more than enough to print some large-ish things. I've been experimenting with printing in Slic3r's "Spiral Vase" mode, a mode that prints objects that are one perimeter thick by going around and around the object's profile, while slowly moving the print head up. It makes really cool parts with no seams, but my printer isn't able to print them for very long for some reason. The right-side Z motor stalls out while the left one goes on without it, tilting the whole X axis to the right and messing up the print really badly. I'm going to try increasing the current to the Z axis motors to combat this in the future. Other prints print fine, however.
I have not been using the IR probe at all, since I can't get reliable results with the sloppy mount I have for it. Manually levelling the bed works just fine for now.
